 Friday, September 03, 2010 The Del Ray Dog Owners Group (DDOG) The Del Ray Dog Owners Group was founded in 1997 by Sandy Modell, and the small but dedicated group worked closely with the City of Alexandria to create Alexandria's and Northern Virginia's first fenced dog park at Simpson Park. The dog park is located at Simpson Park, at the intersection of Route 1 and Monroe Avenue, next to the two baseball fields. DDOG has grown to include numerous Del Ray dog owners looking to work with the City to plan our new dog park, and to help keep the park clean, safe, and fun for maximum benefit to our canine pals.
